A photograph taken of St John’s College students and tutors in 1925.

Hills & Saunders was one of the leading Victorian social photography firms. Robert Hills and Henry Saunders started the firm together in 1860 and had studios in Oxford, Cambridge, and London during the course of their partnership, as well as near certain army bases and public schools. They were given a Royal Warrant in 1867.

Condition: generally very good.
