Between 1902 and 1904 William Nicholson lived in Woodstock; during this period he made several architectural studies of Oxford’s colleges and other University buildings.
Sir William Nicholson was a British painter and printmaker. He is also known as an illustrator, author of children’s books, stained glass designer, and theatre set designer.
