Snaffles was one of the foremost sporting artists of his era, publishing many popular prints such as these: hunting pictures, racing scenes, and military subjects. Snaffles’ distinctive drawing style is emphasised by his ‘remarque’ – sketches in the margin – and his witty titles.

Condition: generally good; some age toning to backing paper. In original half-inch black frame.
