Examiner’s mark ‘M-‘ (likely ‘lower merit’) lower right within border. Signed lower right without border in pencil.
A trainee architect’s lettering design. It was crucial that an architectural draughtsman be skilled in depicting lettering which might appear on a building commission, and here is one of Clapham’s stylish efforts, marked by an examiner.
Condition: generally good, a few repaired very short edge tears not into image, with examiner’s mark to bottom right.
