A liner steers between a bright blue sky and a deep blue sea. Small steamships sail nearby, and seagulls wind their way among the various vessels. In the background, Liverpool’s skyline is silhouetted. Cromby was a Liverpool-based artist, renowned for his paintings of Liverpool docks.
