From Piper’s Victorian Dream Palaces series, Wightwick Manor in the West Midlands was built in 1877 in a Victorian Tudor fashion by the architect Edward Ould. Belonging to the National Trust, it has a fine collection of pre-Raphaelite paintings and artefacts including William Morris wallpapers, Kempe stained glass and William de Morgan tiles.
